What an affiliate link is
When you click certain links on this site — mostly buttons labeled things like “Explore Furniture Rental Options” or “Check Current Availability” — and then sign up for a service, the company may pay us a commission. You pay the same price you would if you went to the company directly.
Today, our affiliate relationship is with Nickson Living (Nickson Inc.). Links to Nickson that can earn us a commission are marked with rel="sponsored" in the page code and carry the note “Affiliate link” next to the button.
We also link to other companies, such as CORT, and to public data sources. Unless we say otherwise, those links are not affiliate links and we earn nothing from them.
What commissions don’t change
- We’re not Nickson. Furnished Guide is an independent publication. We are not owned or operated by Nickson Living or any furniture rental company, and this is not an official Nickson website.
- We don’t publish fake reviews or ratings. We haven’t invented testimonials, star ratings, or customer counts, and we never will.
- We say when renting isn’t the best choice. Several of our guides explain when buying, used furniture, or a furnished apartment is the better deal. That’s on purpose.
- We cite our sources. Prices and terms come from the provider’s own published pages, with the date we checked them. See our editorial policy.
Our legal obligations
