Where our information comes from
- Provider facts — prices, fees, minimum terms, service areas, and policies — come from the provider’s own website, FAQ, and terms. We record the date we checked them, and we show it next to prices.
- Local context comes from public sources such as the U.S. Census Bureau, universities, and official military installation pages. We link to them.
- Analysis and opinions — such as when renting is a better fit than buying — are our own judgment. We label them as analysis, not fact.
What we won’t do
- Invent prices, discounts, ratings, customer counts, or testimonials.
- Claim we personally tested a service when we didn’t. Our provider reviews are research-based analysis of published terms, not first-hand rental experiences, and we say so on the page.
- Imply a company serves a city unless the company’s own site says it does.
- Promise that renting will save you money. Sometimes it won’t, and we explain when.
How affiliate relationships fit in
We earn commissions from some links (see our affiliate disclosure). Commissions pay for the site. They don’t decide our conclusions. Our comparison pages cover companies we don’t earn from, and every guide covers non-rental alternatives.
Updates and corrections
Furniture rental pricing and terms change. We re-check provider facts at least once a quarter and whenever a reader reports a change. Each guide shows a “last reviewed” date. If you spot an error, contact us. We fix confirmed errors promptly and update the review date.
Who writes our guides
Guides are researched and written by the Furnished Guide editorial team. We don’t use made-up author personas.
